Entry Requirements:

  • Visa: Most visitors require a visa. Apply online via the official Uganda e-Visa system.
  • Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.
  • Yellow Fever Certificate: Mandatory for all travellers entering Uganda.

Flights & Arrival:

  • Main Airport: Entebbe International Airport (EBB).
  • Transfers: Registered delegates transport from airport to hotel will be organized by ADCCE management
  • Time Zone:: East Africa Time (GMT+3).

Health & Safety:

  • Required: Yellow Fever vaccination.
  • Recommended: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus.
  • Malaria caution: Take prophylaxis and use mosquito repellent.

Currency & Payments:

  • Local Currency: Ugandan Shilling (UGX)
  • Cards are accepted in major hotels and restaurants.
  • ATMs are widely available.

  • Light clothing, evening jacket, comfortable shoes.
  • For FAM trips: neutral safari clothing, sunscreen, hat, insect repellent.

Transport:

  • Reliable apps: Uber, Bolt, SafeBoda.
  • Use hotel taxis or accredited transport providers.
  • Time Zone: East Africa Time (GMT+3).

Communication:

  • SIM Cards: MTN or Airtel (passport required).
  • Wi-Fi is available at hotels, lodges, and conference venues.

Culture & Etiquette:

  • Ugandans are warm and polite—greetings matter.
  • Dress modestly at cultural/religious sites.
  • Tipping is appreciated but optional.
